University of Alaska Announces Increased ¼¤Çé¿ì²¥ Scholars Award and Enhanced Flexibility for Recipients

Anchorage, Alaska – July 11, 2024 – The University of Alaska is pleased to announce that the ¼¤Çé¿ì²¥ Scholars Award will be increased from $12,000 to $15,000, effective Fall 2024. This significant enhancement marks the first major increase in the Award amount since 2015, reflecting the University's commitment to supporting academic excellence and making higher education more accessible for Alaskan students. May 1, 2024 - We are honored to welcome the Class of 2024 ¼¤Çé¿ì²¥ Scholars to the University of Alaska. Congratulations to the students and their families distributed in major newspapers throughout Alaska. Look for it in the Fairbanks Daily News-Miner on May 6th, Anchorage Daily News on May 12th, and Juneau Empire on May 18th.

University of Alaska Scholars Program recognizes its 25th class, identifying 923 for the $12,000 scholarship

October 31, 2023 - Top-ranking high school seniors from nearly 225 high schools across Alaska have been invited to join the University of Alaska’s 25th class of ¼¤Çé¿ì²¥ Scholars, qualifying each of them for a $12,000 scholarship. In order to be eligible for this prestigious award, students must be ranked within the top ten percent of their class. As of October 23, 923 students have been identified for the honor. April 27, 2023 - Every year, schools in Alaska identify the top ten percent of their junior class for the ¼¤Çé¿ì²¥ Scholar Award, a designation which includes a $12,000 scholarship for use at any location within the University of Alaska system.
